• Dare 2 Be Real is an anti-racist leadership group for youth.  We discuss race and racism and plan Race 2 Justice Day.

GROUP INFO:  We race drones both in real life (IRL) and virtually (using the Velocidrone simulator). Pilots fly Tiny Whoops through hoops, gates, and tunnels, either individually as a time trial or in direct simultaneous competition with other pilots. While flying they wear goggles that show a first-person-view (FPV) provided by a camera mounted on the drone. We fly in the YDSC league.

GROUP INFO:  The Washburn Math Team is a great way to meet other students who enjoy math and problem solving. Like other sports and activities, we aim to include students with a wide range of abilities, including 9th and 10th graders who may not already be enrolled in higher level math classes.  All are welcome!

GROUP INFO:  Model UN is a group for those who think globally and are looking to solve world issues. During the year we attend two Model UN conferences that draw students from around the state. At the conferences, small teams of students represent a country and negotiate solutions to problems like climate change or refugee resettlement.

GROUP INFO:  Love literature & art, and want to see it published? Then Odyssey is the thing for you! In meetings we edit student submissions and design a bi-annual literary and art magazine that showcases student art, poetry, short stories, essays, and photography.

GROUP INFO:  Quads Qlub is a casual non-competitive group for learning how to fly drones, taking pictures & video with drones, and programming autonomous drone flight. No experience required. DJI/Ryze Tello drones will be provided, or you can bring your own drone too.

GROUP INFO:  Every year we design, build, and program a large 120 lb robot and go to 2 competitions (one being out of state). WE ARE MORE THAN ROBOTS. We need people to run our social media, fundraise, advertise with logos and our mascot, promote STEM to our community, and maintain relations with local businesses.

GROUP INFO:  Join Washburn Ultimate and be part of one of the most fun and fastest growing youth sports in the world! We have teams in the Fall and Spring. In the Spring we play as separate Girls and Boys teams, and in the Fall we also play as a mixed team. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to play!
