Spring Awakening - Fall 2022

The cast and crew of Spring Awakening earned the highest Spotlight awards any Washburn production has ever received. Kudos to Director John Lynn and the entire cast and crew!

Washburn's VISUAL ART DEPARTMENT helps students develop their visual art skills in a supportive, rigorous environment. With a dedicated teaching staff and the support of the artistic community, students pursue areas of interest including: drawing, painting, ceramics and IB Art with a mixed media course called Studio Art as a prerequisite

Students will graduate with a broad range of experience and the skills necessary to succeed in post-secondary studies.

Art Club is open to all students and usually meets in room 209 every other week.  If interested in joining, contact Mr. Eady (cleveland.eady@mpls.k12.mn.us). Here are some examples of past art club activities:

  • Studio time with one-on-one teacher help
  • Experimenting with art materials
  • Painting large art collaborative artworks
  • Artist Studio Visits
  • Field trips 
  • Screening of art films
