Sophomore (Class of 2027) applications to College Possible for the 25-26 school year are open! Apply here. Students will start working with College Possible at the beginning of their Junior year of high school.

I’m Chris, the College Possible coach at Washburn for the 24-25 school year. I’m available to meet with students Monday-Thursday during and after school and am located just inside the counseling office. I’m looking forward to connecting with Washburn students and supporting them as they work towards earning their college degree.

College Possible is a program designed specifically to empower students to overcome some of the most common barriers in applying to and succeeding at college. College Possible provides enrolled students with 1:1 coaching, group sessions, consistent support, and access to college visits and trips, all at zero cost. College Possible provides 6+ years of support for students, beginning in their junior year of high school and continuing through the student’s graduation from college.

Some fast College Possible facts:

• College Possible is completely free for students and families

• College Possible is happy to work with students interested in both 2 and 4-year programs

• College Possible is able to help students navigate financial aid processes and find public and private scholarships

• College Possible’s coaching program includes 1:1 sessions (typically 1 a month), group sessions (1 a month), and consistent check--ins

• College Possible coaches work with up to 30 students per coach; there are about 30 students per grade enrolled in College Possible

• College Possible students have access to Overgrad, an incredibly powerful tool for staying on track during the college application process and understanding students’ likelihood of earning acceptance into colleges

• College Possible supports students from their junior year of high school through whenever they graduate from college

• College Possible has been around for almost 25 years and has helped empower more than 80,000 students on their path to a college degree
