Upward Bound

Hello! I’m Diana, the Normandale Upward Bound (UB) Advisor for Washburn High School. I’m located in the CCC after school on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:10-5 PM. I’m excited to work with Washburn students to ensure they have the best opportunities for success! 

Normandale Upward Bound is a federally-funded TRIO program that partners with Washburn High School to support low-income and potential first-generation college students to enroll in and graduate from college.  Normandale UB helps students prepare for and succeed in college by offering free academic and personal support throughout high school. Through weekly tutoring, monthly academies, college and career advising, community service opportunities, and college visits, students gain the skills and experiences needed to confidently navigate their path to higher education.

• Financial aid and scholarship assistance

• Cultural and team-building field trips

• Summer academic enrichment opportunities
